Lots of you (as well as I) have searched the net for printed underwear in older child and adult sizes. We've wished the underwear manufacturers would make these in larger sizes. The reason they do not is because it wouldn't be profitable. They simply can't supply all the stores with briefs in those sizes with that small of a market for them. The only possible way it might be profitable for them would be if they were available via the internet. However, none of the manufacturers are willing to supply this type of product to an ebusiness because the market is so "unknown".
Several people have contacted me inquiring about such an item and it's availability. Until now, my only suggestion was to try to make your own. I didn't even know whether printed "stretch cotton" or any of the other materials needed could be purchased. But, they have become available now - but only in limited prints and colors. The people who own the character licensing for certain popular characters (i.e. "power rangers") have yet to make their characters available on such materials. But, with increased demand - someday they might. Currently, only generic prints are available on these type fabrics (i.e. bears, bikes, blocks, etc.).
I believe there is a fairly strong demand for briefs in these sizes - as some people have made me aware. Children with mental disabilities or obesity problems are a good example of why such a product is needed. Some people want such a product "just for fun" or for a "gag gift" to give to someone. They make printed boxers of all sorts in adult sizes - Why not printed briefs?
Well, now there's a way you can get them without having to make them yourself. I've been in contact with a seamstress in California who has access (locally) to a good supply of the material needed to make briefs like this. Her name is Priscilla. She has made several pair and is willing to make more. They are fairly pricey, but I think most people will be willing to pay for such a unique item. Good quality "Tommy Hilfiger" briefs are $10 a pair at the mall. These are also good quality and you won't find these at any store. The current pricing (subject to change) is: $17 each or $45 for 3 pair (US funds). Shipping is not included in that price (it will be determined at time of order). There are no handleing charges. Insurance is optional - but recommended. You must place an order with her, and mail payment (money order) or make payment using x.com's "paypal" (ask for info). It takes an average of 10 to 14 days to fill an order plus time to ship it. Work begins when payment is recieved - or shortly after. Sometimes it may take extra time to acquire the neccessary material. And there may be additional delays if she gets overloaded with work. She will inform you at the time of order if there are any expected delays. Payment must be made within 10 days from the time the order is "confirmed". This seamstress does excelent work and has 30 years experience. Check out some samples in the pictures below:

Currently, the only true waisband color available is white. But, it can be dyed to make 4 different colors (Red, Lt. Blue, Green, and Lt. Yellow). We are trying to locate color waistband elastic. The first 3 images are a size 40 to 46 brief and have true (not dyed) leg band colors. The 4th image is a size 32 and also is shown with the light blue waist and leg bands. If you want a dyed waist band, you probably will want the matching dyed leg bands. The pictures shown above have no opening in the crotch. Both types of openings are available if desired at slight additional cost. Leg band colors currently are Black, Navy Blue, Royal Blue, Red, Green and White. Since these are custom made items, color combinations can be anything you wish (if available).
Custom embroidering is also available on the waistbands (at additional cost). There are thousands of different images that can be put on them (Disney characters, etc.). Also, computer images can be sent if you want something done that you have a picture of. Your name can be put on there as well - or other words or phrases. Solid color fabrics are also available. For instance, you may wish to get a pair in blue fabric with one red leg band, one green leg band, yellow fly and white waistband (or other combination) similar to "oshkosh" briefs or "fruit of the loom - underoos". Sizing is completely custom so if you have larger legs and require larger leg openings, measurements can be taken and have them made to fit "perfectly".
This is a picture of the tag that will be added to the waist band in the back inside of the brief (just like any other underwear). This tag must be on the brief. And we ask that you please leave it on the brief after you have recieved them.
